awe is a Finnish fashion brand founded in September 2009. Behind awe stands fashion designers Milla Kettunen and Katarina Eklund and textile and accessory designer Iina Kettunen. The collection consists of women's casual wear and a wide range of leather and knitted accessories.
awe design focuses on the three-dimensional shapes and cuts - on how the pieces moves and changes shapes on each wearer. High quality fabrics and the manipulation of it through modernized traditional handicraft techniques are also key traits in awe design. awe strives to that every piece of the collection would be a small treasure to the wearer.
awe supports sustainable development and ecological thinking through out the entire production cycle. We work mainly with natural fibers such as silk, cotton, hemp, bamboo, wool and also some cellulose fiber fabrics such as viscose and tencel. The fabrics are partly eco-certificated and our object is to use exclusively only eco-friendly fabrics. For environmental friendly and ethical reasons awe produces nearby, in Finland and Estonia.
