common delusions // Men // Added 2011/06/01 at 18:19
Is that what we see every day what really exists or is it even a collective delusion as a source of productiveness and innovation. Some sort of common belief that people connect with, without questioning or examining it – because the feeling’s just right, because you are instinctively convinced by what you do. And on a second level: due to similar cultural formative influences, a majority of people seems to perceive similar images of reality – this also ranges over to colours and shapes and could thus be named ‚joint perception’. And maybe it’s simply easier to draw from one’s wealth of experiences in the process of interpreting visual impressions.
Translate d onto the fashion line’s making and style, this realisation manifests itself in extensively classic unisex shapes, which can be seen in the chosen buckles, collars, applications, necklines and foldings et al.. They are taken to a new level, meaning that the collars and buckles are usually oversized and are applied in rather unusual positions. The materials and colours chosen reflect this evolution towards more reflexivity and a closer relationship to nature: the focus is put on soft woollen and flowing fabrics as well as jersey, fake leather and chiffon. Also the selected colours, mustard yellow and yellow, dark blue and navy as well as black and mint green, figure just as much.
