Cosecha prendas vintage incorporates concepts such as Sustainable Design, Fair Trade, and Social Responsibility that orientate design towards eco-friendly techniques.
Eco-friendly fashion emerges and creates a tendency to respect the environment by utilizing different fibres and natural inks, recycling dresses, used objects and fabric wastes.
In our collections we use “scraps”, (material that can be recycled) from nylon pantyhose.The proposal is based on the delicate female features that different ribbons, old lace edgings and hand made terminations give women glamour and comfort in every detail.
The original designs are captured on hand-woven sweaters, jackets and coats, with different textures : ribbons, lace edgings on the cuffs, organza and hand-woven applications; skirts with different levels of flounces that provide movement and comfort; dresses in plain colours with pleats and ribbon terminations, mixed with pantyhose, cotton and muslin fabrics.
Cosecha Prendas Vintage is nourished by the enterprising spirit of my grandparents who were inmigrants, by family values and the revaluation of handicrafts. It emerges to show gratitude to my grandmother Sebastiana who tought me to knit. (Family picture from 1910).
