The inspiration in most of the BVM scarf designs come from African patterns, particularly from the Ndebele women and their craft design. For generations the Ndebele women from South Africa have made exceptionally rich and lively art. In their ceremonial beading and paintings on their outside mudhouse walls, patterns are created in such a simplified way with very vibrant colour use, that looks both modern and cool.
