All Âme Sœur pieces are created based on the own One-Cut-Concept; a single pattern piece is selected and modelled „par moulage“. Precisely placed stitches give the pieces its form and volume. With this concept Âme Sœur wants to put the common creating procedure aside and recall new shapes and ideas in designing. Making clothes from only one pattern piece changes the aesthetics of the garment fundamentally. In contrary to ordinary pattern construction methods the one piece concept overrides the classical construction rules, which frees the designers imagination in a way that feels fresh and liberate.
Âme Sœur´s accessoire line includes shoppers which are made out of skin from free living bavarian deers. Characteristic for this leather are scars and marks which result from the deers life in the wilderness. This unique used look of the soft deer skin is typical for Âme Sœur shoppers. The idea behind the shoppers is to create an ecologically friendly shopper which one can carry instead of a plastic or a cotton bag. All shoppers are handmade in Germany.
