”POST PIRACY”
Spring/summer 2010

The spring/summer collection for 2010 is inspired by pirates, punk, new romance and the clash between the rough and the delicate.

The name “Post Piracy” pays homage to Vivienne Westwood’s Pirate collection in 1981.

The collection offers a feast of romantic ruffles, lacing and embroidery. The tailored garments, printed jersey and the raw finishing of some of the styles stand in bright contrast to the orgy of feminine attributes, and completes the 80s’ look with inspiration from the band Adam and The Ants and heroines like Madonna and Debbie Harry.

Materials used are twill, cotton voile, embroidery, viscose, linen and jersey. The colour scale is bleak, ranging from bright white, cream and vanilla to pale blue with accents of black.
