Leitmotiv’s identity is more and more emphasised by the prints that, in this very collection, are inspired to the work of the American artist Joseph Cornell: they are just like a collage of souvenirs, memories of exotic animals and fantasy creatures which lie deep into the mind, like boxes from where a hidden past re-emerges. The shades of colour are warm, they have a vital and materic soul, see-through and vibrant just like time filters crossed by the memory.This collection is about an apparel that travels through the times and shapes of a fashion that recalls Cornell’s aesthetic of the assemblage: an imaginary association of estranging elements that legitimates the whole work.
