The jewellery label SMJD, Sarah Mesritz Jewellery Design, started 2011. The collection contains of bracelets and necklaces, made of knitted and crochet cotton/polyester. Some pieces are made of only cotton while others are assembled with chains. The colours change with the season, so it matches the fashion trends of the moment. Her inspiration are old textile technique, techniques she learned from her mother and grandmother like crochet and knitting. She tried to use these techniques and make them into modern jewellery, so they fit perfectly in our contemporary lifestyle.
