Inspiration

The fashion label Superhorstjansen was founded in Hamburg/Germany in January 2008 by Katrin Weber and Janny Schulte. After almost ten years experience in the fashion Industry the two decided that their skills are exalted enough to take the chance to make a change. According to Old Dirty Bastards lyrics on the WuTangClan Album “36 Chamber” their first collection was called first things first and that´s what Superhorstjansen stands for: Always do the things that are important first. In the design field that means that the look of course is important but what has a dress for a use if you don´t feel comfortable in it? For us a dress is perfect when you put it on look goddamn sexy on the dance floor go home and still feel so cosy that you even want to wear it in bed and at the next morning you can go out for breakfast and still look good. Coming from a strong street influenced background the right fit was always more important than showing off. The best manufacturing and fabric quality is a matter of course to us to make you feel as comfortable as possible and make Superhorstjansen your new favourite brand that you never want to take off again. First things first also mean to set a focus on ethical values like friendship and honesty. Business is business and you can´t stay friendly all the time but we going to do our best to keep it strictly love love. We´re not in it to win it we´re here to do it right and to built a strong foundation with the people we work with based on real love and respect.
