Video games enter real life // Things // Added 2008/07/07 at 09:00

Released in the US on June 22nd, the Nintendo DS version of the legendary Guitar Hero will be released in Europe on July 18th for the enjoyment of all wannabe guitar and bass players.
The special edition, Guitar Hero On Tour, with a logo featuring flames, comes with the Guitar Grip, the essential accessory who will give the opportunity to all the game fans to give free rein to their passion. At the back of the Nintendo DS, the famous Guitar Grip is a glove equipped with four buttons to play different chords. Fans, please note: the fifth orange button is missing!
Whether you like Nirvana, Maroon 5 or No Doubt, you’ll be able to play your favourite game. Ok, the musical selection is not that great, but it’s still going to be a lot of fun: strum the virtual guitar with the plectrum stylet and go for it! The first videos on Youtube should be awesome, people are gonna look so cheesy!
Halfway between guitar and air guitar, guitar hero DS is the ideal game to become a hero in your bedroom or in the metro.
And yet another product showing that video games have become a cultural phenomenon…
Feel like fighting against evil turtles and piranha plants on a daily basis? Craving for magic mushrooms and power-ups?
A small California-based company, Blik Surface Graphics, sells self-adhesive removable decals featuring the mythical world of video games for the very modest price of 75 $. Only waiting for princess Peach to visit… and hoping no to see the infamous Bowser instead!
