Intersection x L'Ecurie x Hardridge @WSN January 2010 // Things // Added 2009/12/08 at 16:16

Hardridge, manufacturer of footwear for the French Air Force, has recently called upon the styling agency, L’Ecurie, to re-evaluate one of their flagship models "La Rafale". This collaboration will be shown at Who's Next, january 2010. Worldwide premiere, then at Colette, famous parisian concept store.

L’Ecurie, an agency that specializes in the field of mobility and movement, has produced a totally new shoe in re-looking the previous “Rafale” model, worn by supersonic aircraft pilots. Whilst the fundamental spirit of the original model remains, the new boot has been thrust into the world of contemporary luxury.

L’Ecurie has also devised a carrying case equally as outrageous as the model itself: a prestigious sports coupe from the 60’s has been transformed into a shoe trunk, in the shape of a 1968 Porsche Karman with no door handles, without wing mirrors, top shopped and with moon alloys stripped of their chrome and painted in nimbus grey matt paint, specially developed for this project. Its boot has been changed into a trunk and equipped with a sound system and video equipment, screening the “making of” the project.

This model will be exclusively unveiled to the public on the “Who’s Next” 2010.
