Logorama: the Academy Awards’ French touch // Happening // Added 2010/03/12 at 17:14

The 82nd Academy Wards ceremony returned its verdict Sunday March the 8th, and of course there’d be a lot to say about Kathryn Bigelow’s huge success: her movie The Hurt Locker won 6 Oscars out of 9 nominations! But let’s talk about an award that rarely makes the news: the award for best animated short film. This year, the H5 collective, gathering graphic artists Hervé de Crécy (brother of famous DJ Etienne de Crécy!), François Alaux and Ludovic Houplain, won the Oscar with their very unique film Logorama. This 15-minute short-film features no less than 2,500 logos for a fantastic fable based on a hostage-taking… A great reward for 6 long years of work!
To watch the movie, see below.
