Two thumbs up for Erika Iris Simmons. This 25 –year-old young self-made North American artist from Georgia has impressed the whole world with her original work.
She could have chosen painting, sculpture or any other media to express her amazing creativity but she went for something a lot less traditional. She uses salvaged video or audio tapes as well as 35-mm films for a very surprising result: Lauren Hill, Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Hendrix or Albert Einstein have been immortalized by the young artist.
Inevitably, her work has drawn the attention of advertising agencies; such as German agency Jung v. Matt am Neckar, which hired Erika to promote a radio station. Simple and original, we’re huge fans!
