Like each year, the city of Dinard (French West coast) organized the young fashion designer international festival. This event featured ten new fashion talents, womenswear and menswear, sponsored by personalities of the fashion scene. 5 Awards were given:
- Special women’s designer Award
- Special men’s designer Award
- Special Award from the City of Paris
- Special Youth Award.
- Special Award from the City of Dinard. Special "Lace and embroidery " prize
The Who's Next team, represented by Boris Provost and Luc Bierme, attended the festival as member of the Jury and sponsor of the Special Men’s designer Award and Special Youth Award.
During this essential festival, the designer duo Luc Anger and Julie Auxoux, the jury’s special favourite, was awarded the Special Youth Prize.
As supporters of young creation, it felt logical for us to introduce you to their work.
Luc Anger and Julie Auxoux’s brand, "Les Chats Perchés", presents a collection reminiscent of the 40s, especially because of the fabric choice and color range (sober but never black, with shades of beige, ecru, brown, taupe and navy blue).
All this in a very bourgeois-bohemian spirit, inspired by 18th century anti-revolutionary dandies, especially in terms of volumes and details (frock coats, full-top pockets, open-shirt or Peter Pan collars, etc.)
This mix prefigures a new spirit, inspired by the economic crisis. A very modern man who’s used his past to build his own identity.
The duo won an invitation to the Montreal Fashion Week as well as a booth at the coming edition of Who’s Next, from September 4th to 7th, 2010.
