Here is Isnotdead!

> Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Is Not Dead, the story follows: a founding friendship between Victor Carril, Virginie Mazel, and Laurence Charbit. After studying at the Atelier Chardon Savard, and carrying diverse experiences within various fashion houses…after having lived throughout many emotions, cultures, experiences, and aesthetics, we decided to create Is Not Dead, a line of prêt-à-porter fashion for man and woman, a concentration of our creativity.

> How did you start designing clothes? Is it something you've always wanted to do?
All three of us began rather early playing with our style, perpetually transforming and renewing it. For us, it was quite natural to be accepted into a school of fashion and to succeed in attaining our craft.

> What are you sources or inspirations?
Everything that makes its mark on us, that touches us, that transcends us…Everything that enlightens us and impassions us. Everything that symbolizes to us beauty, what we judge to be poetic, what evokes emotion in us and what gives us the feeling of understanding new things. All of those things are our sources of inspiration!

> Fashion, what for?
Why not!
> Which artists would you like for our readers to discover?
We really appreciate the photography, performances, and music of Mathew Stone, known (among other things), for having created the sounds of Gareth Pugh's fashion shows. We found ourselves close to his vision of our era, of his rather contrasted aesthetic. Despite having a creative universe that is somewhat dark and trash, his slogan is "Optimism as a cultural rebellion!". Well said! Also…you can discover one of our favorite Japanese artists, Odani Motohiko, at the Mori Art museum in Tokyo.

> Your news? Your projects?
Is Not Dead was chosen to be exposed and promoted in two new virtual galleries (Carnet de Mode et Ma French Dressing), who have recently begun a new concept of clothing sales of "créateurs" on the internet. They allow an immediate access to the visual and conceptual universe of various brands, proposing more approachable prices than in a traditional boutique. Furthermore, we are in the process of creating a new IND film; we also have many different photo projects, planned during February and of course throughout the IND fashion show during the next Fashion Week.
> Your favorite addresses in the city?
After a good day of work, we love heading over to the 4th floor of Centre Pompidou, to contemplate the setting sun over the staggering rooftops of the Parisian sky…
We love spending time at the "Flatterville" (Le Hangar de Marcel, 24 Rue des Petites Ecuries 75010). It's a magical and poetic place, right in the heart of Paris; a creative space (headed by Laurent Godard), that is utilized, along with the different members of the association, to expose various artists, and to organize small and intimate concerts, cultural events, and diverse soirées (such as the "Burning Man" party, or Is Not Dead's Launch Party!)
And on 40 rue Jean Baptiste in Pigalle…an address worth knowing; its Chloe S's "cupcakerie"!
> The one question you'd like to be asked?
Are you happy?
> Your favorite drink?
Vodka Tonic.

> Describe a successful evening/night…
All the people we love in the same room…good energies, smiles, laughter…
People! creative, staggered, free, and amusing.
A beautiful exchange between us...Some transcendental music…
A party that lasts till dawn.
Tanks a lot and see you on the trade show!
