Julie won the last Who's Next Blog contest and will be invited at Who's Next trade show, in Paris, January 23-26.
> Can you briefly introduce yourself?
I m a french designer, originally from south of France. I studied art and graphic design at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris where I lived for 12 years before I moved to New York City a fews years ago.
> How did you start doing clothes?
I ve have always customized or made my own clothes, Jewellery , prints and dye colors. I work really manualy and as an independant designer I have the freedom to be as creative as possible now in running my own line.
> What are your inspiration sources?
I like to take Ethnic and vintage iconography and give a contemporary edge.
> Fashion: what for ?
Because something you have to do everyday is put on clothes, and its boring to only wear clothes for function. Fashion is a refelction of your taste, and personality.
> Your news? Your projects?
I will participate in an Edit of a few designers in Topshop UK and will also be showing my work at the 104 (a new art institution in Paris).
> What artists (music, photo, fashion, etc...) should our readers discover?
Tons of Italo/Disco,house, I’m an 80s woman.
> Your favourite addresses in your city?
Franklin Street in Brooklyn. It’s peaceful and has an industrial charm.
> The one question you’d like to be asked?
If I want a pony.
> Favourite drink?
Wine, of course.
> Describe a successful evening/night (party)?
Dinner, dancefloor and brunch in the morning.

Alps
