> Could you briefly introduce yourself ?

My name’s Philo, I am 24 and founder of the eponymous brand, crazy designer and serial knitter.

> How did you start designing clothes? Do you consider this as a job or is it still a passion?

I started designing clothes in 2006. After a degree in Spanish, I changed courses so I could give free rein to my passion and become a full-time fashion designer.

> What are your sources of inspiration?

More than inspiration sources, I have what I call "fashion urges". It comes from inside me, for no logical reason: it’s just obvious. I create according to my emotions and feelings.

> Fashion, what for?

Fashion is a philosophy, a means of expressing yourself, sometimes as powerful as words... Maybe even more. Your "look" is your first contact with the others.

> Anything new? Any plans?

Creation, creation, creation !
On top of the clothing section, a line of knitted accessories.

> Which artists (musicians, photographers, designers....) would you recommend to your readers?

MIYAVI of course, a Japanese singer with a crazy world of his own and eccentric visuals (He describes himself as a "Japanese samurai guitarist"). His music is a mix of rock, pop and traditional Japanese tunes combined with shamizen (listen to the track "JPN PRIDE" for example).

> Your favorite spots downtown?

In France (Paris): The Marché Saint-Pierre (The fabric specialist), Saint-Ouen’s flea market and my home sweet home.
In Spain ( Valencia): Plaza del Ayuntamiento, el Mercat Central (central market), beach del Saler, del Turia park.

> The question you’d like to answer?

Would you like to fly to the moon?
To which I would answer:
No, I’d rather go to Mars: much more colorful.

> Favorite drink?

The bissap... with or without lemon.

> Describe a perfect evening?

A nice restaurant, a movie, and a good night’s sleep ..... ;)

> The most extravagant thing you’ve ever seen?

A cyclist who passed at the red lights is stopped by a policeman:
"Hello Mr you just passed at the red light, do you have your driving license?
-Of course, proudly replied the cyclist
-So, it will make you a fine and a points deduction."

True story and it's not a joke !

> Latest concert?

Miyavi at L’Olympia.

> Latest exhibition?

The Japanexpo.

> A motto?

Life is just like a box of chocolates: you never know which one you’re gonna pick.

> A last word?

Thank you to the Who's Next team for this interview, come and discover my creations in my Etsy boutique ("sellers" category): philo77.etsy.com C.U. soon :)

Her name sounds a bit familiar? Of course, she won the WSNblog x Sponge Bob contest, on Under Le Louvre !

Thank you very much Philo !
