We love stillgood

 > Can you briefly introduce yourself ?

Clément : I am Clément Taverniti, 21, originally from Toulouse, I’ve lived in Paris for three years, I am still as fashion marketing student at the ESMOD school. I launched my own fashion label Still Good last summer.

 > How did you start designing clothes? Is it something you’ve always wanted to do ?

Clément : I’ve always been connected to the world of fashion because my father has worked in that field since the 70s/80s. So it felt logical to create my own brand. When I first arrived in Paris, I was very interested in graphic design, fashion in general (thanks to my school). At the same time, I started collaborating with a very dynamic brand “I Love By”, before working with Alexandre Guarneri, founder of the mythical brand Homecore, which has taught me a lot. After defining my graphic and creative orientations, I felt like going solo. I work on Still Good while finishing my studies, but in the long term I’d like to devote 100% of my time to that project.

 > What are your sources or inspiration ?

Clément : They are very diverse, I’m into lots of things: arts in general, painting, designer fashion, architecture and furniture design.

I really need to take into account everything around me for my creations to be perfect.

I pay extra attention to avant-garde and modern arts, minimalism and geometric patterns. I’m always looking for confidential designers or minimalist graphic artists. When I need to have a clear vision of my ideas, I read a lot of philosophy, poetry and science books that aim at trying to improve the world.

 > Fashion, what for ?

Clément : Fashion is a nice way of escaping reality, dreaming, expressing your personality, while conveying concrete messages. Fashion is a great way of expressing oneself and changing mentalities. It’s a very powerful communications means in our society.

 > Which artists would you like to make discover with the readers ?

 Clément :

Masomenos

Sonar Kollektive Orchestra

The Herbaliser

Vanessa da Mata

 > Your news? Your projects ?

Clément : After collaborating with the ephemeral boutique organized by AtHome at the 104 (Modern art/conceptual venue in Paris) in January, I’m going to work on a t-shirt project with the graphic design studio BastardGraphics, and then with Brodinski. I’m also going to work with a brand new brand of furniture to design a pattern for a couch and a table. I’m also going to develop a capsule collection with brand Jimmy Taverniti… Well, cool stuff and interesting opportunities!

 > Your favorite adresses in your city ?

Clément : A nice Italian restaurant of the Marais district, in the rue de Sévigné: L’Osteria!

 > The one question you’d like to be asked ?

Clément : I don’t know… Maybe "Are you satisfied and happy?" The answer is obviously YES!

 > Favorite drink?

Clément : A freshly squeezed orange juice!

 > Describe a successful evening/night ?

Clément : A nice diner at home or in a good restaurant with my friends, a good bottle of wine, talks, discussions that last forever…

 > The thing more the nutcase whom you did see ?

 Clément : Probably love!

 > Your last exhibition ?

Clément : Jr’s exhibit on the River Seine banks, and more recently the Dutch Golden Age (paintings) at the Paris Pinacothèque, and Né dans la rue at the Fondation Cartier.

 > A motto ?

Clément : A broad mind will get you anywhere!

 > One last word ?

Clément : Special thanks to Who’s Next for your support!
