Ulrika Sandstrom 'We Love' interview, Who's Next Blog young fasion designer contest winner!
> Can you briefly introduce yourself ?
Ulrika : I am a fashion designer from Stockholm, Sweden. I graduated from Beckman’s School of Design in 2003 and started my own label shortly after that, where my aim is to create wearable fashion with a unique feeling and a strong and individual look.

> How did you start designing clothes? Is it something you’ve always wanted to do ?
Ulrika : I was a fashion maniac from an early age, dressing paper dolls, Barbie dolls, my teddy bears, you name it. When growing up I took art- and design courses, but never intending for it to be my profession. Before going to full time design school, I studied fashion theory in the university - and then finally decided to give in to my passion.
> What are your sources or inspiration ?
Ulrika : Passionate people, regardless in what area. Music and everything that surrounds it, emotionally and visually. My collections usually revolves around music.

> Fashion, what for ?
Ulrika : It is my way of expressing myself, a way of communicating my thoughts, dreams and visions. My conviction is that fashion should be not only beautiful, but also intelligent.
> Which artists would you like to make discover with the readers ?

> Your news? Your projects ?
Ulrika : I am going to Tokyo in March, as a part of the EU Gateway Design Mission, bringing Swedish fashion to the Japanese people.
I recently opened my own store in Stockholm, as well as a web shop: visit me !
> Your favorite adresses in your city ?
Ulrika : Pet Sounds Records at Skånegatan 53.

Or anywhere by the waterfront in summertime, preferably in the Stockholm archipelago.
> The one question you’d like to be asked ?
Ulrika : Will you marry me?
> Favorite drink?
Ulrika : Still water or Gin & Tonic, depending on the occasion.
> Describe a successful evening/night ?
Ulrika :
1. A summer evening in Stockholm, picnic with friends in a park with a view over the city.
2. Gig with a favourite artist.
3. Music, drinks, dancing and romancing.
4. Finally walking home in the sunrise.

> Your last exhibition ?
Ulrika : “Kimono Fusion” at the East Asian Museum in Stockholm.

Ulrika : Live what you dream.
